An important element in Juha Meuronen´s paintings are colours, various colour surfaces, multiformality of the surface structure. Meuronen´s pictures are allusive,
with a strong association to nature in different seasons of the year and time of the day.
The first time Juha Meuronen had his works in an art exhibition was when he was 12 years old. As far as he remembers he has " always been drawing and painting, with the smell of turpentine in the nose ". A well known painter himself, his father Egon Meuronen brought the son into the world of art galleries and exhibitions, at a very early age. Almost every year since 1976 and onward Juha Meuronen has had works at the annual exhibitions of the Hämeenlinna Artists`Society. He held his first solo exhibition in 1978 at the Taide - Saskia Art Gallery in Hämeenlinna.
